Hold the dots to jump between groups
In the group review screen, press and hold the dots below the group counter. When the group preview opens, keep holding and slide left or right to preview other groups.
Release to jump to the previewed group. This changes only your browsing position; it does not mark groups as reviewed or change keep and delete decisions. With only one browsable group, the preview does not open.
Grant photo access
On first launch, allow access to your photos. Full access lets you browse the whole library; limited access shows only the photos you select.
If the library is empty, check photo permissions in iOS settings. With limited access, you can also manage the selected photos in the app settings.
Browse the grid and photo wall
Open the app settings and change Browse mode to switch between Library and Photo Wall. The grid shows photos in time order; the wall offers another way to explore them.
When similarity analysis finishes, use the review button on the home screen to open the photo groups. Analysis time depends on library size and device performance.
Compare each group
Use the group navigation buttons to move between groups and the bottom thumbnails to switch photos. You can also inspect photo details and preview Live Photos.
Swipe up on a photo to mark it for cleanup. Similarity groups are suggestions; review the actual content before deciding to delete.
Undo and review your selections
Tap Undo in the group review screen to reverse the last decision. Open the bin at the top right to review all photos marked for deletion.
Tap a photo in the deletion queue to keep it instead. These choices are still local to the app; the original photos have not yet been deleted from your library.
Confirm deletion and recover photos
After checking the queue, tap the remove button and read the iOS confirmation. Cancelling that request leaves the photos unchanged.
After deletion, check Recently Deleted in Apple Photos and follow the recovery deadline shown there. With iCloud Photos enabled, deletion syncs to connected devices. Photo Clean cannot restore permanently deleted photos.
Loading issues and rescanning
iCloud-only originals and Live Photos may need a network download. If a preview fails to load, check your connection and try again.
To analyze the library again, choose Scan everything again in the app settings and read the confirmation. If a problem persists, contact the developer through the support page with your device model and the steps that led to it.
